    Fixed Wing Mode Demonstration

I noticed the camera shake too. It seems like the gimbal is "locked" in position. I also noticed the rotor blades in view quite a bit. I imagine some of this can be fixed with a firmware update.

    Fixed Wing Mode Demonstration

That's what I thought I read in the manual and I was expecting it to exit FW mode but it didn't. I just looked at my flight log and it showed it accelerating and decelerating during my FW mode flight. I'm wondering if my setup is wrong or the manual is.

    Fixed Wing Mode Demonstration

I tried this yesterday; it will slow the aircraft down. If you pull the stick all the way back and hold it for a second or so, then it exits FW mode. It accelerates and slows very gradually when you're adjusting the speed.

Got hit by my Mavic blades

On day two of ownership I tried to catch mine when it drifted towards my friend against my input. Broke my fingernail and had a huge blood blister. Lesson learned.

Where the heck are the goggles?

If capable, I think it would be great. I was flying my Mavic the other day and there happened to be a guy nearby flying his FPV racing quadcopter. He let me put on his goggles and it was awesome; I'd never experienced FPV before and I was impressed. My takeaway though, was that it was only 2D...

Where the heck are the goggles?

Well, in this sense, the sensor is a camera. If you've done a sensor calibration you've seen that it indeed sends a video feed to the Mavic. That video could be used in the goggles. With the physical separation between the sensors, you'd have a 3D perspective. I don't know what resolution...

Where the heck are the goggles?

Will the DJI goggles use the gimbal camera or the front vision sensors? I know the resolution on the sensors isn't great, but wouldn't it give you real 3D?

    Laser locating system

Yes, people track the aircraft and can hit it multiple times, even fast moving jets. I've been intentionally hit on 20 plus ocassions while flying and its very dangerous. You are momentarily blinded and lose night vision for a good amount of time. Luckily, I've never had any permanent...

iPhone Issue Help? Random Power Down

I posted about the same problem. I had a shutdown while waiting for a battery replacement to come into stock. It took 5 days for Apple to get the replacement in stock. It only took about an hour to replace the battery. It's been raining where I live so I haven't flown since the battery...

    Internal rattle

Yeah, I agree with you about taking it apart myself. I might wait until iFixit does a tear down to see what to watch for as far as tamper stickers. I might try to see if it will find its way out the arm hinges on its own.

    Internal rattle

I searched and I couldn't find any similar complaints. I received my Mavic on 12/2 and out of the box it had an internal rattle like a piece inside is loose. I initially flew very carefully hoping that it wouldn't be a flight safety issue and I haven't had any problems after almost 3 flight...

Hello from the Napa Valley, California!

Hi all, I just got shipping confirmation from DJI for a Wednesday delivery. Basically a 2 month wait. This is my first quad copter. I've flown 450 series helis in the past. I've read the manual and watched videos, so I'm excited to get started.
