To be honest I'm not sure of the restrictions. But as long as you stay away from the navy base and the ports I think it fine. I fly there often and have had no issues. All I know is there is a few airbases there such as the sea plane, westpac response helicopter and some other helicopter base...
Hey there. Yea I got a smidge over 5 kilometers away with my mavic and still had strong reception with the drone but on return a head wind picked up offshore ( maybe started towards end of 5kilometer run but my speed was normal) and my mavic got about 274m away from its take off point before it...
You should try flying in Devonport from top of Mt Vic. Great flying spot and very little interference.

When mine crashed it didn't keep the flight log for the crash. I have the flight before and after but not the auto take off crash flight. Others might have the same problem so they can't share it?

Have never had a problem with the auto land but since I have done the recent update it has started doing that as well. I have found that mine won't land on dark concrete/asphalts but will on grey or lighter. Not sure why.

I hope DJI sorts it out fast as I would hate it to happen to new drone flyers. As they would use this feature as they are trusting the drone until they get the hang of it then it does that kind of thing and makes it hard to trust it. Also I am not able to get DJI care in my country so if it has...
I had the exact same problem. My third take off and the motors just decided to stop causing it to go face first into the gutter/kurb. I don't think I'm going to do auto take off ever again. I think my drone is ok but bottom of camera is deeply scratched and so is underside of drone. Not to happy...
