    Thanks Chris, and if I understand it correctly if I were to pop down to the States I'd have to had passed the TRUST exam and also register with the FAA?

    I’m not familiar with the US rules as they are bit different especially with RID. Others on here are more knowledgeable in that respect. Chris

    I’m sure Transport Canada will eventually clarify the rules for the Mini 5 Pro. My hope is that they classify it as a micro drone when used with the regular batteries therefore not requiring registration or a license to fly it in Canada. Chris

    Yes, if you choose to use the larger batteries you must register and obtain a Pilot’s licence, either Basic or Advanced. Chris

    It will be interesting to see how Transport Canada classifies this drone. The current regulations are based on take off weight and if your drone weighs 250g or more then according to the regulations you are required to register your drone and...
