Between 2020 and 2023 Chris Tangey has won more Drone Cinematography awards than anyone in the world including the coveted US$5000 prize for "Landscape" in South Korea's Jeju International Drone Film Festival. The world's largest online community of film and television artists, Los Angeles' Stage32.com, described Chris as "one of the most sought after drone cinematographers globally". But according to Chris: "you're only ever as good as your last gig"! Based in the small town of Alice Springs, the defacto capital of the Australian outback, his nearest city in any direction is 1000 miles distant. He recently filmed all of the Australia vision for the Nathaniel Rateliff music video "Time Stands", shot on all 6 continents. Other aerial shoots include an upcoming Feature documentary for Universal Pictures "Boy from the bush", under Director Kriv Stenders, the 2 part finale of the U.S. 2020 season of "The Bachelor" for Warner Brothers, "Nomad" under Director and film legend Werner Herzog, a global TV commercial for Tourism Australia "Hemsworth", BBC's "Seven Worlds-One Planet" "Wonders of the Monsoon" and "Mammals", plus a large amount of visual material for the National Museum of Australia's new permanent exhibition "Great Southern Land".

Chris has 26 international awards for aerial cinematography, and 8 Gold awards and 5 silver awards from the Australian Cinematographers Society.
