As cool as the M3 sounds, I won't upgrade from my M2Z /Mini2 anytime soon. So the original smart controller will continue to serve my needs!

Love it for my M2Z. I recently picked up a Mini 2 that doesn't support it... I hate having to use my cell with the controller. There's a ~1 second delay that isn't there with the SC, takes a bit to get used to.

I wish DJI would hurry and get on this! It's a shame they don't prioritize compatibility with their own systems

SF will not touch it if you say it is for commercial use. But they don't check up on anything, or even track serial numbers.

I have this policy from state farm, but my house insurance is through them as well. I used it just the other day-- I had crashed and sent it off to DJI who quoted the repair at $99. I sent that quote to SF, and they paid the claim. I probably shouldn't have done it, in case I have to make...

I am not in favor of the proposal as written. There are some good points and bad, but the internet requirement is simply unrealistic. In the US we are not to the point of ubiquitous internet; not to mention home-built quads that don't even have the ability to connect to an internet-connected...

Fair enough, there's lots of variables to consider. I've been surprised that I haven't really needed to download maps all the often, and I don't do missions. VLOS only for the mavic, although I do enjoy my hobby FPV builds :)

I'm very happy with my decision to get a Smart Controller. Turn on the SC, turn on the AC, Go Fly. No worrying about connecting a device and the troubles that come along with that.

I wish DJI would add this feature. The SmartController has a USB port that would be perfect for connecting a phone for use as camera control!
