This is true for provincial parks, but national parks you need to be 2000' above ground level.

can't be fun to be a DJI reseller right now, DJI was shipping units before the resellers were able to release, and it seems product is only trickling out to them. Likely part of the issue for Canada and Alaska, single unit shipments require as much paper work as sending a pallet of gear.

In the case of my m1p, the phone was disconnecting from the controller. Replacing the cable fixed it. When it happened on my a2s, I landed right away and didn't check to see if the remote had disconnected or not. I was only a few feet in the air.

the crop is likely due to not being able to get a full sensor read out at the speed needed to keep a high bit rate. This is common in many DSLR/mirrorless cameras that shoot video. Higher frame rates = crop.
