Locking the camera on the horizon. Possible?

My idea is like this: set a waypoint at the lowest height, adjusting the gimbal to have the horizon centered. Then set a waypoint at the highest height, adjusting the gimbal to have the horizon centered. Shouldn't the drone then interpolate not just the height, but also the gimbal position? How...

Locking the camera on the horizon. Possible?

May the OP try it. I'm nowhere near my drone for a couple of weeks. Was just voicing an idea, not volunteering to testing everything out.

Locking the camera on the horizon. Possible?

I never tried setting two waypoints in the same position, just different in height. Can somebody confirm that this is not working?

Locking the camera on the horizon. Possible?

Could this be done with waypoints? Just an idea ...

Out of signal range waypoint missions

Which Mavic 3 are you using again? Cause I'm not aware that there are models that have 360 degree cameras. Though even if it would be irrelevant, you don't see what your drone sees until after the fact. It's the same stupid argument you're making over and over again - nothing ever happened, so...

Out of signal range waypoint missions

What people are trying to tell you is that things not always go as planned, there are emergencies. Planes don't always fly about 400 feet. And not always straight over the runway. There are no helicopters where you are? How can you be so sure? Police or medical helicopters will never ever come...

Do I need to do anything if I plan to fly my mini 3 pro in Europe ?

Not anymore, any type of tag / sticker is fine in Germany.

    export waypoints file?

If I would have only known that DJI come out with this waypoint update ... I left my home country without the Mavic 3 before it was published. Can't wait to be back and have a crack at that feature. Gonna be another month though. And as I'm a software engineer I would love to look at ways to...

    export waypoints file?

I used the file that @zAvi provided, just a few messages up. You actually liked that post. He also wrote that he had no luck using the KMZ files, so that's why I explained how you can get to the files inside so you can actually work with them.

    export waypoints file?

Well, you unzip the file you sent. Then you unzip one of the .kmz files (you could rename it to .zip if that helps you doing the unzipping).

    export waypoints file?

No I don't. I don't even have experience with the Mavic 3 waypoints, as I'm far away from home and didn't bring my Mavic 3 - the waypoint feature came out right after I left.

    export waypoints file?

KMZ files are zip files, you can unzip them. I was able to use the waylines.wpml file inside with KML viewers on the web, at least you can see the waypoints on the map. But even looking at it in a text editor is telling you a lot about what information is stored, especially what is there...

Out of signal range waypoint missions

As I said, car analogies never work - you brought speeding into the discussion. But as of today no self driving cars are perfected. Neither are drones. Aircrafts and pilots are not perfect either, there are situations they have to fly lower than planned, that is why there is so much space around...

Out of signal range waypoint missions

Your logic seems to be, if most people don't follow all the rules, you can break every rule. You are aware that there are levels to this, right? To go with your car analogy (which hardly ever works) - if I drive 40 where 30 is allowed, does that mean it's ok if you sent a self driving vehicle...

Out of signal range waypoint missions

Maybe, just maybe, there are not so many incidents with drones because there are rules in place to avoid such incidents, and the vast majority of people actually follow those rules ...
