As a drone pilot you are responsible for limiting and even preventing distractions not including them whilst flying. By listening to music you would be creating an unnecessary distraction and be contravening drone rules - So yes, I agree it is a crazy idea.

No not really - The only issue with a screen that size is balance as the iPad will cause the controller to be potentially top heavy - Using a land yard might do it though - I personally use an iPad mini 5
