    Firmware upgrade problem

The tightening regulations are going to make drone flying an obsolete hobby. If limitations are being imposed by force in the EU, that type of restriction could be applied globally, as a consequence of politics.

Special Pricing Update ! Mavic 3 Wet Suits an Rescue Jackets

Very nice looking rain attire for sure., How are they stuck to the chassis? Is there any risk of pieces flying off in the slipstream? Also, how many grams does the raincoat weigh? And how much does the water landing gear weigh?

    Firmware upgrade problem

Having one's drone grounded unless a firmware update is accepted means that such an update is being imposed by force. As a Mini 3/DJI Fly user, I'll be watching this thread carefully. I'm now a bit worried about my Mini 3 getting grounded under the same pretext because I pass on ALL firmware...

Disabling C1 and C2 Buttons on the Mavic 1 Pro Controller

Turns out I didn't look far enough down the menu listing in Litchi to locate the C1 and C2 button assignment menu item. I was so exasperated that my mapping mission had been ruined by the gimbal going haywire that I just scanned through the Litchi settings menu briefly, before trying DJI Go4's...

Disabling C1 and C2 Buttons on the Mavic 1 Pro Controller

Ah, I never thought to look in the Litchi settings since I'd never had any use for those buttons in the past. I just went straight to DJO Go4 to try and kill those buttons, only to find out that they weren't assigned to anything in DJI Go4. Very grateful for this insight, Kilrah

Disabling C1 and C2 Buttons on the Mavic 1 Pro Controller

Thanks so much, Slup, for this far simpler solution than my DIY attempt in the above pictures. Despite those two bottle caps being in place, I still managed to press one of the buttons when a bottle cap flexed, which again sent the gimbal flailing in the middle of my repeating the mapping...

Disabling C1 and C2 Buttons on the Mavic 1 Pro Controller

For some reason, I find it irksome to be forced into dreaming up such an ugly work-around solution as this one, but, in the absence of any obvious means of disabling those pesky C1 and C2 buttons in DJI Go4 settings, and since I don't have the expertise to dismantle the controller and de-solder...

Disabling C1 and C2 Buttons on the Mavic 1 Pro Controller

I suppose if I can accept and work around the fact that Mavic 1 Pro and Mavic 2 Pro drones were designed with weak battery retention clips that will shed a battery mid-flight if it is not zip tied in place, then I can certainly live with that other factory defect that takes the form of two...

Disabling C1 and C2 Buttons on the Mavic 1 Pro Controller

Hello fellow Brethren of the Drone. The C1 and C2 buttons on my Mavic 1 Pro controller show as NOT being assigned to any function in DJI Go4, so it came as a nasty surprise to find that one of the buttons causes the camera gimbal to snap down to -90 degrees, or snap up to +20 degrees, when my...

Litchi - Fixing Select Waypoints During Batch Delete of Other Waypoints

I thank you kindly PHZ, for this mention of Drone Deploy. I had in the past regarded Drone Deploy as being too pricey for my limited means, so it is a surprise to read this mention you have made that the aspect of Drone Deploy that is required for creating the lawn mower flight path might be...

    Horizon issues

If you have not done so recently, a calibration of all anti-collision sensors is recommended, as they do have unpredictable effects on drone flight if left uncalibrated. If this step doesn't solve the issue you've described, such sensor calibrations make for a smoother flight overall, even if...

Litchi - Fixing Select Waypoints During Batch Delete of Other Waypoints

Hello, fellow drone meisters. I am dabbling in the dark art of flying grid mapping missions using Litchi with my older Mavics to create a 2D ortho-mosaic image by later" stitching together" all the photographs taken at 5-second intervals along the drone's "lawn mower flight path." To keep the...

DJI Mini 4 Pro loose propellers - can you check yours?

Enticed by the purported 40-minute flight time and the promise of an SDK that would make possible waypoint missions beyond the reach of the RC controller, I committed the cardinal mistake of buying a Mini 3. When the SDK for the Mini 3 was eventually released, the key feature that I required...

DJI Mini 4 Pro loose propellers - can you check yours?

It is vital that you carry out the IMU calibration, and also calibrate the collision sensors, EVEN if you do not turn the collision sensors on during your drone's flights. Neglecting to calibrate the IMU, the compass, and collision sensors can cause the drone to fly erratically and stop without...

    Batteries around £70?

By the way in case anyone is interested, due to their being a major supplier of drone batteries, Ali Express is now officially defunct and out of business. I bought numerous extra-range batteries for my Mavic 1 Pro, Mavic 2 Pro and Air 1, prior to Ali Express' sudden collapse, so it is sad to...
