I have had good luck doing the same thing to retrieve a small drone. I also tied a nylon string to the fishing line then a larger rope. My only other suggestion would be to take 2 or 3 friends and a net to catch it. Good Luck!

I agree with Androids being a crap shoot. I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to use with my P4. Paid over $300 for it. Had nothing but trouble. Sometimes it would connect sometimes it wouldn't. No rime or reason to it. When I got my M2P I bit the bullet and got a I-pad. It's like Night & Day...

Where did you get a tracking number? I ordered mine on the 28th and all I have gotten is a link showing it was shipped and a order number.
