    Long exposure

Interesting! I wonder why mine are retaining the hot pixels? I remember lightroom doing some of that minor initial tweaking with my p3p, but I must need to mess with something to fix the images from the Mavic. Hmmm...

    Long exposure

I've had a couple of night shots absolutely riddled with hot pixels. I, however, could see them in LR- are you using a preset or something that takes care of them? I've been having to manual spot remove them on images that I'd like to keep. And I fully sympathize about the noise- even at...

Has anyone noticed a video improvement with the latest firmware (2017-02-14)

I actually have noticed some improvement in the gimbal performance on mine. I was suffering from the strange horizon issues and after latest firmware update and a round of calibrating everything it seems to have improved. I'll take it out this afternoon for a more definitive answer.

Who's returning their mavic because of the warm spot?

Wow, you guys are idiots. Well, mostly one of you but I'm definitely staying out of it. My Mavic is definitely exhibiting the warm spots, making it especially tricky to stitch multi image panoramas which I do a lot of- I'm interested to try this evening the LR filter that was posted earlier...

New to Mavic and very sad

Yeah that glitch is kind of strange but not unheard of when dealing with a camera like these. The rest of your problems seem like typical shutter speed issues. Definitely heed the advice here about using ND filters to lower your shutter speed to as close to 2x frame rate as possible. Even in...

Footage has some weird lines going on. Anyone else?

Definitely prop shadow- no way around it if the prop is situated between the light source and the lens. Notice how it moves out of the way as you pan the gimbal down.

FAA is nuts (Instrument rated pilot)

Fair enough but where does the $150 number come from? I guess there are two paths one could go down- either go about the remote certificate as if you are not a part 61 cert holder, or get current and take the online test, IACRA, etc... It seems to me if you're a pilot needing currency you...

FAA is nuts (Instrument rated pilot)

Where are you guys getting this information? Current part 61 pilots take a simple online test, print the completion paper out, and find a CFI to finish the online IACRA process just like adding a rating to your license. Then you wait a few weeks for your remote pilot cert to appear from the...
