thats exactly how mine is. i guess i just dont understand how a Yuneec Typhoon, 3dr Solo and an older Naza M v2 can hover just fine in GPS mode(and without VPS) but the Mavic cant, at night. oh well, glad im not the only one lol

So what does GPS mode offer if the craft is so dependent on VPS? I originally started off around 10-12ft. I took the pic when it was that low to show how much movement it does at hover, at night.

i know the pic i posted only shows 4ft in height, but i started the hover around 10'. i guess with enough sats to enable GPS mode, i was hoping for a more solid hover(not 4'-10') like my other quads.

i was thinking the same thing Big Fil, but i was in GPS mode and it was still all over the place. i have a yuneec typhoon and a 3dr solo that hovers better(GPS mode), and they dont have VPS. my old Naza M v2 hovers better too so the mavics rock steadiness is solely depended on the VPS?

these shots look great! did you have any issues with your mavic hovering steady? ive tried night shots with my mavic, but it will not hover steady at all. all my night exposures are blurred because of the mavic moving around

what settings are you using?
