UPDATED - NEWEST DJI FIRMWARE impacting Mavic Pro Autopilot Waypoint Missions

I wish knew this BEFORE I bought an Ipad mini 2 and Autopilot.... attempted a waypoint mission today despite the warning that they were experiencing glitches... and the craft wouldn't auto take off, so I took off for it. then as it was making it's way to the starting point it was traveling...

Anyone in Dallas / Fort Worth?

Sounds like a great area, that's right outside the 5 mile radius of Love Field Airport. Flew there myself and did a lap around the big ball. Sent from my SM-G900T using MavicPilots mobile app

    Battery error

The video above, Apparently, after many emails back and forth DJI decided the battery error was their fault and they are replacing his Mavic. good for him.

Lets talk about the MaVic in the Wind

Compared to my P3 standard my Mavic cuts through wind like butter. I think the low profile gives it better sliceability. I've never piloted a P4

Anyone in Dallas / Fort Worth?

Nice distance, but I'm satisfied you weren't in the city with THAT kind of range Sent from my SM-G900T using MavicPilots mobile app

Noob Problem - Shadowy Flickering Footage

I didn't see any stutter on my android phone either, and I strained my eyes to see something wrong... Sent from my SM-G900T using MavicPilots mobile app

    Potential Dual Battery Support

Well I was more asking questions than being dogmatic about injuries... Thankfully there was no death and glad an actual piloted aircraft wasn't involved then the injury would have been much more severe. And the stats that were quoted were from the beginning of time up until 2015

    Potential Dual Battery Support

You stated dogmatically that you (a pilot) strictly obey the rules because you care about lives. That's great! I suppose going 401 feet in the air is going to cause a plethora of deaths and should be avoided... Oh wait! No...... and no I don't agree with the FAA regulations and they know it's...

    Potential Dual Battery Support

So on this link it has the statement several times, "Includes a LED light so you know when to connect the aux batteries" so you can't connect these aux batteries with a fully charged DJI battery? Please excuse my ignorance. Sent from my SM-G900T using MavicPilots mobile app

    Potential Dual Battery Support

Out of curiosity, how many airplane pilot errors have caused death and how many drone accidents have caused death? Is this even comparable... And out of extreme curiosity, has there been a drone related fatality? Even while it was an unregulated hobby? Sent from my SM-G900T using...

    DFW Mavic Pilots!

I could be totally mistaken (noob here) but the rings around the helipads are closer to the correct 5 mile regulation distance, I'm thinking the one showing around DFW is a different airspace requirement. Please correct me if I am wrong. Sent from my SM-G900T using MavicPilots mobile app

    DFW Mavic Pilots!

If we do a meet up it would be nice to have access to wide open spaces. maowen21 mentioned Brown Park in Coppell. Looks like plenty of room for flying. Sent from my SM-G900T using MavicPilots mobile app

    GPS Tracking device

Ping is a Trackimo clone. Trackimo is just as small and does all those things, check in SOS etc. First year free. After that just $5 a month. FYI it doesn't interfere with the Mavic GPS nor does it interfere with Tile. The only thing ping might have on the Trackimo is battery life. I...
