You said the remote is the one with the screen? If so you will open settings and connect to the internet from there just like your computer. You will be good to go from there.

CThe Canadian authorities are probably not out tromping through the snow looking for wayward drone pilots. You could get this Christmas present set up and flying and see how it works out for what you intend to do with it, then, if all works out...
