If you lose a drone be sure to put the ICBM missiles in SAFE mode. We don't want some old grey haired busy body woman setting one of those missiles off.
It would not be a good day.
When flying the Mavic 2 zoom and using the iPad Mini 4 doesn't the down link video suppose
to stay on the iPad mini 4?
I like to just narrate the video when I fly and don't do any editing. When I play the video on the DJI Go 4 app in the 'cache' mode I can hear my editing but when I download it...
I used to think batteries were just batteries but I found out not all batteries are not alike.
These are "smart" batteries. They have computer chips inside. When you do an update you have to turn the drone off, remove the battery and put the next one in. Do that for all batteries you have.
These...
It all boils down to there are too many unemployed lawyers with too much time on their hands that sit around and dream up rules and regulations in which they have no or little knowledge of what is going on.
If the rules change ever month or more people will just ignore the rules and fly.
It will...
Was it truly a drone? If so was the drone flyer flying in restricted air space?
At what altitude was the drone and airplane flying?
Did they find the operator of the drone?
Did the drone have an FAA ID number?
Things like this we need to hear at least 3 sides of the story.
There have been more...
I like to narriate the videos that I capture with my DJI Mavic-2 Zoom. My tablet is the Apple iPad Mini-4.
The Apple iPad Mini-4 does not show the 'Cache' files. Those are the ones that I want to download and use. I don't want to get into the video editing.
does anyone know how to get the...

In a few years all these drone rules will fall into the category of Rules and Regulations pertaining to CB radios. There will be thousands of drones in the air and the budget will not be there to have FAA people running around trying...

You have that right. We are drowning in rules that seem to change every week!
There have been more people killed or hurt by private and commercial pilot actions than drones.
By what you read online you think there are FAA investigators around every tree.
Go to State Farm Insurance and get some...

I was caught between the Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom. I decided on the zoom. I can get great shots both video and stills by zooming into the subject.
This way it keeps me away fro Miss Busy Body who is peeping out the window looking for something she can report.
I fly my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom with my iPad Mini-4. I would like to narrate to the iPad as I fly.
I accidentally did something one time that made it work but maybe an update caused that to go away. I don't even have video saved on my iPad mini 4 now. It is one the drone but I have to download it...
I would be on the safe side and get lipo bags. The airline might demand that even if it is not in the FAA rule book just as a cop come up to you and tell you that you cannot fly in a certain place.
Some people of self-imposed importance just make the rules up as they go.
I have had my Mavic 2 Zoom for about 6 months. I may go as much as 2 weeks between flights because of work or the weather.
I do a compass calibration each time I change flying locations. some people say it's not needed but I figure the time I spend doing this is time well spent. It's kinda like...
