It will lead to a lot of lost drones, I noticed it because I tested all features at close range after the firmware install and panicked when the drone started to climb on its own after I turned off the controller to test the connection lost...

It's set to hover by default, which after the hack is not hover anymore, but climb to X altitude (by default is 500 meters) to avoid antidrone guns interference. Antidorone guns need to be 5 times closer to the drone than the controller to work...

I can't find any benefit of it over a M3 enterprise.

No one can intercept the video signal between a DJI drone and the controller, it's digitally encrypted, not even Aeroscope. You can intercept cheap wifi drones though (usually sold as toys). The only pictures that get shared are the 3-4 low...
