You are exactly right. The drone needs to be boosted or you are pretty much wasting your time. Which is what I found out after trying everything and spending lots of money....unfortunately
Apologies, i am not suggesting drone transmit power is the only thing that matters. What I meant to say is you can add external antennas as well as signal boosters and they will help. However, this mainly helps increasing the signal to the drone and will only go so far. Then the challenge...
You are 1,000% correct. The main issue is the drone transmit power. I have tried everything on one of my modded controllers and have spent a considerable amount of time and money, even purchasing the alientec $500 amplified antenna. The issue becomes the drones transmission power. I am gonna...
I don't mean to be rude however, I wish people would stop telling others what they should and should not be doing. If you can't be helpful then dont say anything at all.
Here is a pick of my prototype. I am building a nice case to hide all the components. I also use a plain old 3s 1000mah battery to power them and that is more than enough and good for about 12 flights. Ugly but works awesome.
Just looked it up and here is what you will need.
4 watt amps

I have spent a considerable amount of time and money testing different products to extend the range of my mavic mini 2. Hopefully you find this usefull and not spend the money i did. I also have a tree problem around my neighborhood. I have tried the following.
2, 2.4 ghz sunhans 3 watt...
Sorry for your expensive lost. Would dji care help in this situation? Also, just my opinion but a $3k drone should be able to deal much better when people make an honest mistake...perhaps just a simple warning by the nice dji lady saying something like, " you can take off but will not be able to...
I honestly dont know what the hell Dji is doing. They come out with a 5000 drone with 50 percent of the functions not working, gps delay issues and just general bad workmanship. And then we enthusiast are stupid enough to scrape up our last pennies and buy it. This is not good for us. Dji is...
I don't mean this in a bad way but simply stay away from Hubsan products. I have had four of them and they have all but one flown away or just dropped out if the sky. I still have one left because i am afraid to fly it and fall on someone's house or head.
Buy the mavic mini 2. It is rock solid...
I have a Mini 2 and am surrounded by tall trees so my issue is penetration...no, not that kind folks so get ur minds out of the gutter😊.
I almost bought the Alientech duo boosted antenna but not paying $700. I had 2 Sunhans 2.4ghz boosters as well as 2, 5.8ghz ones. I was advised by one of the...
I am so sorry about what happened ro you. I learned years ago, the hard way just as you did, not to buy Hubsan products. They are all terrible. I have had several h501's and an H109. All flew away within 20 or so flights. If they cant make low end drones how in the world could they compete with...
No. Tested in a densely populated suburb with power lines about 150 feet from my house. I got a much more stable signal, smoth video and much better distance...about twice as much.
I tried everything. Both 2.4 and 5.8 yagi andtennas, with a reflector. Tried the 2.4 ghz boosters with 10 dbo...
I just purchased the Sunhans dual band amo and connected it to the left antenna only. Used 2 Alpha dual band antennas. I got much better range and video feed. Going to try to boost both antennas as soon as I get the second amp
