I watched a "range test" from a very popular Youtuber and he often flies 5-7 miles out. Is he getting some kind of special waiver to break the VLOS rules?

Thanks for the information. I'm now afraid to fly my drone in the neighborhood because I'm not sure I understand the laws fully. Time to do some studying.

It was my fault. My eyesight isn't great so on a sunny day I might be able to fly a few hundred feet away to keep it within line of sight. Just not worth it.

Here's what happened to me yesterday. I live in RI and have been flying my Air 3 a little too far and a little too high as of late. Been flying over the ocean mainly. About 10 minutes into one of my flights, a State Trooper came upon me and asked how high are you? I was just a little confused...

Has anyone made a direct comparison of the night time capabilities with the new Air3s compared to the Air 3? You would think the "S" model would have a clear advantage with it's larger sensor but that's not always the case. I'd pull the trigger on one if I knew it was a major upgrade over my Air...

I measured the Air 3 and Air 3s batteries. And as advertised, the 3s batteries are a full 20 grams lighter than the Air 3. That's a good thing!

he has posted two videos already on the new Air 3s. He didn't mention night time capabilities in the second video but quickly talked about it in the first but didn't seem like it was based on any formal testing he has done.

Waiting for the Youtube tests of the night time capabilities of this new drone. Very happy with my Air3 at night but would consider the "S" version if it's far superior at night.

Not sure how much of an upgrade the 1" sensor will be in non-professional applications. I prefer the picture I get with my Air 3 compared to my Mavic 3 with the 4/3 sensor. And my Air 3 blows my Mavic 3 away during night shooting. But I almost pulled the trigger this morning, wanting the latest...

DJI said to send it in and they would immediately replace it. This drone takes great night time videos though.

just took deliver of my Mini 4 Pro. Shooting at 4k/30 and tapping middle of screen, footage straight from the SD card on to a 50" 4k TV shows blur in the bottom left corner where the rest of the video is tack-sharp. Should I expect a small amount of this with this particular lens? My Autel Lite+...

The sun sets much lower now so that might be part of the problem. Good luck

Expect a good 40% more flight time with the Air 3. I have both but recently sold the Air 2s because of the extremely poor flight time an lack of wind resistance.
