Expect a good 40% more flight time with the Air 3. I have both but recently sold the Air 2s because of the extremely poor flight time an lack of wind resistance.
The heavier battery makes the drone more stable in the air. I could never see a scenario where the authorities would want to weigh the drone. It will always
look like a toy, LOL.
But the "battery overcurrent" is a problem I had with my Mini 3 Pro in SPORT mode only. I'm getting that same warning in NORMAL mode with my 4. Don't have the patience with teething problems and don't really care about the weight since the plus batteries put you over the limit.
I'm returning my 4 Pro because it's really terrible in the wind. It flies substantially slower than my mini 3 Pro, Mini 3, Air 3 and Mavic 3. I've tested it extensively, flying the same route at the exact same time with the plus battery. It can't cover nearly as much distance as all my other DJI...
I have the Air 3 and took delivery of the Mini 4 this Wed. I'm sending the 4 back for a refund because it's a total dog in the wind. I even get "battery overcurrent" warnings in light wind in sport and NORMAL mode. DJI has no idea what I'm talking about, the just said send it back and we'll...
I'm flying my Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro within minutes of the Mini 4. About 10 flights so far and its no comparison. Mini 4 can't hang with the other two in speed and flight time. Flight time is being affected by any kind wind which the Mini 4 can't handle nearly as well as the other two. "Battery...
My Mini 4 is going back. No DJI drone ever gave me a "battery overcurrent" warning after 3,000 miles of flying with 6 different drones. And I was flying in normal mode and have flown with a high wind warning about 500 times. This puppy has problems
Sorry but this puppy has teething problems. I'm getting "battery overcurrent" warnings even while flying in "normal" mode. Battery life seems to be substantially less than my Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro and the 4 is a real dog against any kind of head wind. She's getting returned. No problems at all...
I'm just very surprised about the differences between the 3 and 4. The DJI website shows the same flight time for the standard battery and a 2 minute difference for the plus battery. I've only tested for a few hours, and will test more today, but I'm seeing a much bigger advantage with the 3...
I just experienced the same thing (with the battery plus). I flew my new Mini 4 and my Mini 3 Pro at the same time. The 4 sucked down the battery WAAYY faster. My UAV forecast said "good to fly" against a 10 mph constant wind with gusts up to 16 mph. The 4 was an ABSOLUTE DOG against the wind...
