Repeated issues getting FAA waiver approved near Providence, RI

I suspect you're right. I routinely get waivers all over Massachusetts and New Hampshire approved within 5-7 days, but I've been having consistent issues with Rhode Island. I would have thought the same FAA group approves those waivers, but it seems that something is clearly different about it.

Repeated issues getting FAA waiver approved near Providence, RI

I have a waiver request in on FAA DroneZone for a flight over a commercial property near TF Green Airport in Providence, RI in a 0' zone. My last two applications for this same location have timed out and the status has stayed at "submitted" before showing "canceled by FAA." I have had 60-70...

    FAA DroneZone Airspace Authorization

I've done around 15 Part 107 flights in the past 6 months that have all required a DroneZone Airspace Authorization because they were either at non-LAANC enabled airports or I needed to fly in 0' zones. I got nearly every request approved within 2-3 business days, including requests near active...

    LAANC - here we go

I reached out to AirMap tech support. They're aware of the problem and working on it. Hello Dave, Thank you very much for reaching out to AirMap detailing the issue you encountered. We have been able to confirm that advisories are experiencing an issue and we are diligently working towards...

Recreational Flyers: Get Airspace Authorizations with LAANC (FAA Video)

Thanks, that's exactly what I just did and KittyHawk seems to be working just fine for Part 107. I'm much more used to my workflow in Airmap and I hope they get it fixed quickly, but this works in a pinch. Thank you!

    LAANC - here we go

Thanks, I just downloaded and tried KittyHawk for the first time. Seemed to work fine for me (Part 107). The only annoying part... it is not letting me change the size of the flight area once I drop a pin. Oh well.. it works for now. Thank you!

    LAANC - here we go

I'm a Part 107 user that has used Airmap extensively in the past, and whatever they did seems to have completely broken Airmap for me today. Figures, since I just got a list of about 15 drone flights that I need to get authorizations for soon. :-/ I'm hoping this gets fixed soon.

Recreational Flyers: Get Airspace Authorizations with LAANC (FAA Video)

Also, Airmap is no longer allowing me to create a flight plan. What the heck is going on here?

Recreational Flyers: Get Airspace Authorizations with LAANC (FAA Video)

Is anyone else having a lot of problems with Airmap right now? I'm using what I believe is the most up-to-date version on an iPhone 7 plus, and when I zoom in on a location on the map, the advisories are not updating. For example, I'm zoomed in on a section around a Class D airport that shows a...

    More civilised flying.

Lovely shots! That’s a great idea to give the neighbors prints of their house to keep them happy. :)

Reminder to always stay alert (VERY LOW HELICOPTER!)

I've worked here for 17 years and I've never seen a low helicopter in this area until yesterday. I know there was a State Police bust for a kidnapper around the same time, but that was about 5 towns south of here. I bet it was related though.

Haha, that would have been amazing!

Reminder to always stay alert (VERY LOW HELICOPTER!)

I had a good reminder yesterday of why you should always maintain good situational awareness and never assume you won't encounter manned aircraft under 400.... I had planned to do a little flying with my Mavic Air and was outside getting set up (luckily I wasn't in the air yet.) Literally out...

Greetings from just outside Boston, MA

I've been mostly flying around small parks near my house in Arlington. I'm currently just flying a small "Force1 Red Heron" toy drone until my Mavic arrives, so I don't want to take it up too high or too far because it's a little difficult to control if there's even a slight bit of wind. I...
