Gopro has an 8:7 aspect ratio, and I tried a 16:9 cut, but it chopped off the top and bottom part of the video, so the distant mountains or the blurry objects which gives the immersive feel, were gone, so i had to experiment what to put on the sides. Because it looked bad when i just left black...
Not sure if I'm allowed to post this here as it was recorded with a custom drone with the DJI O3 AirUnit and a Gopro, so if i break some rules please excuse me and just delete my thread :)
I would like to share with you a thrilling experience, my first proper FPV flight in the Swiss Mountains...
Sure!
To edit in HDR unfortunately you need the paid version of Davinci Resolve Studio
I record with the Mavic 3 in "HLG" mode (10 bit), and in Davinci you can just enable the HDR in the Color Management settings, and on the export tab just click on export and embed HDR10 metadata. You can...
That's a great idea, i had no clue we can get action cameras with 1" sensor
I couldn't find any info on Google about shooting in real HDR (HLG) though. Probably that's reserved for the Mavic 3 :)
White Shores of Malta | Shot on Mavic 3 in 4k HDR HLG
Theres is a cliff dive at 00:49 which i recoded with DJI FPV and a GoPro11. What do you think? I think the GoPro cannot hold up with the clarity of the Mavic 3 camera.
If the HDR doesn't work on your Browser, you could try the YouTube app...
I googled it before my trip, and i would advise to do the same a few weeks before your trip as they tend to change drone regulations.
I don’t remember the exact website unfortunately where i found all the information.
Thanks :) i was not flying where the no-drone signs were posted or if there were people/birds around. Luckily in -10 degrees + wind it was not the case.
I paid at Vestrahorn though, that was the only way.
I would like to share with you another video of mine from Iceland.
The first part was shot at the meeting point of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, and
the second part was at one of the huge glaciers where they filmed Interstellar.
I uploaded it in HDR, so if you have an HDR TV...
yeah, i've never seen such formations in my life, especially with the strange vegetation on top.
I cannot wait to go back in the summer when everything looks completely different :)
Thanks for the feedback Joel :)
The rotor surprised me as well, but you are right, it was a crazy head wind and probably the drone was almost at 45 degrees with full throttle.
I was a bit nervous but the Mavic 3 handled the Icelandic wind perfectly. Landing on my palm was not easy though...
