It would be surprising if there were a County- wide ban on drone flying in parks as there is not longer a single Council for the whole County and even when there was a County Council responsibility for parks rested with the local Distrct Councils and Boroughs.
if there is such a ban it would be...
Yes there is a high chance that the DJI operating system will have the Prohbited Area geofenced.
The system might also require you to provide authorisation to “unlock“ entry into a flight restrictions zone although this seems to depend on which airfield you are near. There are two (civilian)...
An Hirta not strictly a no-fly zone and sofar as I know there’s no protocol for seeking consent to fly in such an area. The risk / danger is as you say that there could be some problem in maintaining the transmission link between controller and drone so the wiser course is to operate outside...
What bit of the CAA proposals do you have in mind? There is a change coming this June which greatly simplifies the present rules (provided the Pilot has registered) but the proposals from 2022 seem to bar all except drones marked as CE.
Hive would be worth a look. hivedronestore.com|| Specialist drone store | Authorised DJI retailer
They sell both new and pre-owned Drones
The Mavic Air also has obstacle avoiding sensors.
The UK law on drones is about to change so within the next few years there is a risk that models which do...
Actually they are By-laws. The National Trust Act empowers them to make by-laws. The current byelaws were made in 1965 ! The penalty for breach of the by law is a fine payable on “on summary conviction” which I take to be proceedings in the Magistrates Court.
I have not been able to find any...
I am also in York. I have wondered about flying on the Knavesmire but thought it was highly likely to result in some Jobsworth from the Racecourse raising objections

I have not had experience of the AP crashing — I use an iPad with...
I think the security man will have been from English Heritage ( a government Body) rather than the National Trust which is a Charity. I don’t think the Trust owns or manages Stonehenge.
I’ll have a look to see what “Law” the security officer was referring to.
Great picture anyway.
Spent this morning taking some videos. Now trying to see them and am getting a message that the item was encoded in a format not supported. Error code is 0xc00d5212.
This is my first attempt at videoing with the Mavic 2 Pro. I have not had a similar problem with the Phantom 4 that I had...
I am always wary about giving a legal view about issues in Northern Ireland S I do no.t know the extent to which the law over there differs from England.
In England the posiition is that you do have a general right to fly within the limits (minimum and maximum) of the Drone Code and the...
Strictly they DO rights of ownership over their airspace (assuming they were telling the truth about owning the land) but those rights
Strictly, under English Law, they DO own the airspace over their land.
But as a result of Statute Law
Strictly they DO own the airspace over their land...
The Government has now announced its proposals. You should be ablrpectonfind a document on the Department of Transport website called “Taking Flight: The Future of Drones in the UK - Government Response”.
Do you already use the NATS drone assist AP. That provides a map on showing NVZs and...
