    Still Awaiting Official Certification Delivery

I carry a copy of the interim certificate, but this three month wait seems odd. I am also registered with IACRA and will give the number you gave a call. Thanks for that!

    Still Awaiting Official Certification Delivery

I fully realize it's only a piece of paper and my flying under Part 107 doesn't depend on actually carrying the cert, but having passed the test on March 15, shouldn't it have arrived by now? Is there any one particular office to contact to track it down?

    107 exam?

I took the exam March 15 at a local airport flight school, got the temporary cert on the spot, but nothing more from the FAA. My online login at Dronezone says I'm certified, yet it's been almost 2 months and no license in the mail. Is this normal?

No FAA waiver but a demanding client

We did the shoot last night and thankfully the use of the drone never came up, we were far too busy doing the ground shooting. I would have passed on flying for a number of reasons, the first was the lack of the waiver, but more importantly, the minimum LOS weather requirements were not met...

No FAA waiver but a demanding client

Absolutely, and "invincibility" immediately comes to mind.

No FAA waiver but a demanding client

I'm a bit confused. By requesting the waiver, it was my understanding that the nighttime waiver was for one-time use. By going to the FAA Dronezone, completing the application and successfully getting the waiver mean it is for blanket nighttime coverage?

No FAA waiver but a demanding client

People who work in government have no idea of how the real world works. Business moves fast, and a 90 day wait for a 107 waiver is just not acceptable. A client brought up the idea of a night flight two weeks ago. This is a long-time client who has brought much work to me, and who is also...

How do you fold a landing pad?

Landing pads are created like photo reflectors. Working in television, we've been using these for many years as fill devices in interviews or outdoor reporter standups. Some reflectors are quite large and especially difficult to collapse if you aren't accustomed. They're also great intern...

What's the trick to Smart Controller?

Received the controller from DJI recently after a customs delay. Went through the setup and flew for first time yesterday, but had trouble adjusting the camera settings because the control sliders were very difficult to maneuver on the screen. Any users out there know any tricks? Are sliders the...

Just passed my Part 107 test. Here are my thoughts.

I passed the test several weeks ago. I found several questions on the test that were never covered in the Dart Drone course--one on weather, the other on using a buddy-box to fly. We never discussed such a device in the class, but guessed it was regarding two controllers for the same UAS--one...

FAA investigating near-miss involving drone over Falls

This video is really scary. It also brings into the discussion not adhering to NFZ. As for the other drone, it appears to have rotors and is likely either another fairy close drone or another helicopter off in the distance.

New to forum, new to legally flying

Thanks. Already today, your form reminded me to check my drone registration. I'd applied the old number from the Phantom, and today checked the FAA site only to realize the number was from 5 years ago. Everything is now updated with new numbers-- getting fully compliant!

New to forum, new to legally flying

I've been following many posts here, but wanted to wait until passing the 107 test before joining. As a freelance network cameraman for over 30 years, I fall into a category where the 107 license is necessary. As the popularity of drones took its meteoric rise, years ago I purchased a Phantom 2...
