I would hate to have to argue that one with the FAA should anything go awry, let alone the player or his parents. If this effort has value, get your 107 and insurance. You won’t regret having both that freedom and that protection.

I also have great distance vision , but need glasses for things at arms length and closer. I have used bifocal glasses for flying for years. I also found progressive lenses to be vertigo inducing.
