    Altitude limit

Be very careful, the Mini is not strong enough to fly against strong winds, if you go higher, it CAN be blown away. And no I do not know if any limits can be removed from the Mini. Check to see if you are on beginner mode in the settings, that will restrict flight to minimize first time flyer...

After a flight do you format SD (after saving media)

I make sure I format the card using the DJI app, that way I know it is formatted for the drone, not my computer, just in case there are subtle differences.

LOST MY MAVIC MINI TODAY...I WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED

Part of a pilot's preflight process, I check the winds before I leave the house. I do not know if the App used with the Mini shows the attack angle of the craft on the screen, like a radar screen in the lower left, but if you look at how much angle of attack is needed to maintain a hover, you...

Flying from a boat return to home?Mavic2 zoom

When I do filming around a lake, I prefer to leave the drone powered up and ready to go from the shore, kayak out a bit, launch and film. If I lose connection, etc, it goes to a dry place vs. hoping my GPS location has been updated from a spot in the lake to my boat.

Takeoff and Land from a Kayak?

When I did some Mavic Pro kayaking, I left the drone powered up on the shore line, got in the kayak, fired up the Mavic. HP set to the point on dry land, no over hanging trees. Then I paddled and photographed eventually return to original launch point, both kayak and Mavic (obviously this was a...

    Flying in your own neighborhood

Only fly close to home to test setting changes, otherwise, I drive about a mile to an open park. I avoid flying with people around, they are usually just curious and inquisitive, which is good when I feel chatty instead of flying (never).

    Line of Sight - Really?

I fly it as far as I can see it and the surrounding airspace. I spent too much to risk otherwise.Out of sight makes me nervous. that's not fun for me.

    Mavic drones in Delaware.

Watch for the "sign" planes, they can sneak up on you and low. If a lot of birds appear, you may want to land, bird strike can down a drone. Have fun, be polite.

Surprised there is no third party solution to the Android charging from controller problem.

I did not have a problem with Android charging. When the droid device first detects the controller, you are given a choice of how to treat the USB connection, if you select data, Droid does no think the controller is a charging device. No third party needed. You will need to research how to...

    Flying from a parked car

Get a solid Home Point set, near you, but away from the metal car, so if connection is lost, based on your settings it will at least attempt an RTH.

Is Cell Service/Data Needed or Not?

Yes, you can pre-load areas of the map, sorry, I do not know the steps off hand, but I believe you "just" power up the drone and controller, go to map view in DJI app, scroll the map to the area you plan to fly, there is also a setting in DJI GO to "cache maps", that should be enabled. I have...

Should the Mavic Pro be flown with Gimbal Cover on?

AS posted in the past here(forum member did some testing), there should be no issues with overheating due to the cover. I do not have an answer for the fogging.
