It is possible to install Android onto a PC, more so has anyone tried it with the Mavic software?

With all the new touch screen Laptops and PC's on the market like the Microsoft Surface with I3,5 and 7 CPU's, I was thinking of loading an Android OS and using them in place of a phone screen. Has anybody installed an Android OS on a Clone PC Laptop or Tablet?
