There are many phones that when plugged into the Mavic controller the phone auto switches back to charging.
Its super annoying. The frustrating part is that I know there is an option within the OS to disable it. I found it and was able to do it on a Note 5 but needed root.
Many phones now a...
What is the name of the settings screen. I am trying to find the note 9 equivilent.
Also does it say " USB Charge setting " if not what exactly does it say word for word?
This is so strange.
I have the same phone as you but I am getting the results others are getting.
-USB Debugging on
-Set USB to MIDI while RC is not connected
-Have Android 8.0
Once I connect the RC it changes the option in dev options automatically to "Charge this phone"
Here is an updated...
It does lower it drastically but does not stop it.
Its better than nothing. The frustrating part is I know its possible. As some have pointed out, turning off charging through the USB menu is possible on some devices like Nvidia shield.
Also many, including me, have done it on rooted devices...

This stops charging completely while you are flying?
I tried the same on a spare note 5 that I had lying around and it would automatically start charging again when you opened the DJI app.
So I sort of have a solution for Samsung owners that have devices that can be rooted...

I noticed that on my Note 5 and my Tab S2 it would properly stop charging. The only...
Does anyone know how to disable USB charging on Android?
Perhaps a data only usb cable I can buy?
It really sucks that it auto charges the phone. It will basically drop the battery of the controller in one flight.
What card? I bought mine directly from Samsung and from Best Buy.
I also bought a Sandisk and benched the Samsung cards vs the Sandisks and they perform the same or better.
Every single Samsung card I have tried gives that message.
This is super odd.
What do you mean?
App versions? The video shows a mavic with Dji Go. I used Dji Go on my Phantom and it worked.
It behaved just like the video posted above.
