Typically when they add the dihedral droop to blades, they increase chord width too. I haven't seen the specs on these new props, but I would bet they may be a hair wider also. You are right. At some point even with increased efficiency, profile drag will sneak up on you. It's just a matter...
As a guy who teaches aerodynamics as a helicopter flight instructor, my guess is that the majority of the increased flight time will come from the redesigned props. The dihedral swept design significantly reduces wing-tip vortices and greatly increases overall lift. I'm sure the tweaking of...
Interesting refresh. Not enough for me to buy one. Rear sensors and an upgraded camera/gimbal might have persuaded me. This is a great option for someone who doesn't have a Mavic at all (in my opinion).
As for the new props - old aerodynamic design. My guess is that DJI had an idea about...
Could you give me a little more detail on how you do this check? I might add it as a note or caution box below "compass - check, calibrate as required"
I would give it a few days to dry out. Keep it in a cool dry environment. After a few days, start out flying close and slow, then run it through a few aggressive flight maneuvers. Just my suggestion :)
Glad you got it back in what seems to be all in one piece. Yes, I would agree that moisture probably isn't good for the internals on the Mavic. You mentioned the fog. I would say that is a little denser than just humid air. Also, if your Mavic was in a cool and dry environment and then you...
