Apparently 24 fps is ‘smoother’ but if your uploading to social media use 30 fps as that’s how it’s displayed on things like instagram.

Not sure what you are using the edit your pictures, but you might consider reducing the highlights and increasing the shadows, for a greater range of colours/detail
265 is a codec for the future and serves no real purpose currently unless you’re a top end professional.
For domestic purposes, just stick to 264 buddy
I would set up two timelapse with your pocket 2, panning left to right (or right to left) and then one wide shot using your Sony.
8 hours is a long time (obviously) and graffiti isn’t very quick, so I think an interval of 20 seconds would work.
A pic every 20 seconds for 8 hours is 1440...
Pano photos missing has happened to me before - you just need to update your firmware.
Twice when my firmware wasn’t up to date the pano folders stopped being produced, but as soon as you update they start to be produced again
You wouldn't use the Aperture for depth of field, but I’ve been in plenty of situations when shooting at midday, when the sun it too bright for fixed app.
Agree on battery life and swelling though.
OP states they are only using it for photography so 5.4K is irrelevant in this case
