Remember how our drones are considered aircraft, and enjoy the same protections as aircraft - eg it's federally illegal to shoot at an aircraft, including a drone. Well the US Code of Federal Regulations says this about dropping objects from aircraft:

While very cool, it would be interesting to learn whether that's an intentional function by the 3rd-party charger manufacturer or whether the circuitry doesn't prevent power flowing the other way by virtue of poor design.
If the latter, then there's a lot of unknowns there around overheating...
Right, and so because that is such an extreme punishment for 'not registering your drone', what do you think would actually happen if you were caught by a police officer flying an unregistered drone? Do we know of any cases where someone has been punished?
