I got my 107 certificate in 2018, and understand I need to re-test in two years. Is the re-test different than what I already took? Where would I take this re-test?

Also found out that Camelback Mountain is in a city park. A good reason to call the city of Phoenix. They might not let you fly.

Go to skyvector.com. You will notice some of the flight paths coming from north to south go right over camelback mountain. Otherwise, be extremely cautious! ATCMight be a wise choice to get more info. Also, try calling the city of Phoenix. They could help if you can’t get ATCOn the phone.

Often, there will be class E airspace from 700’ below the outer shelf of the class B. Check your vfr maps. Go to skyvector.com. It’s really good.

Have you tried filming at/over independence mall? My understanding from the FAA is that you can’t fly within 400 feet of the mall area.

If you’re launching the drone on vine street, you’re 7 miles from the airport. Do a search for “As the crow flies”. You put in where you are and the name of the airport,, then click calculate. Good tool to have.
