While good advice, there is a lot of information in every manual, and it's quite understandable that DJI veterans might easily miss a thing or two skimming through a manual for a new drone.

Just trying to eliminate functional behavior before calling this a bug/defect. As others, I haven't experienced it, so I regret I have no answers yet.
Meh. I always use RTH to come back and land (closely supervising, of course). I've been flying over 10 years, fly full acro FPV drones, etc. Skill isn't an issue, nor is "practicing" holding the stick to fly back, or manually landing.

There are quite a few 300 and 400ft grids in those restricted areas, so plenty of good flying. It's easy to get quick automatic "approval" with one of the apps.
It's how they install their special spyware, because our lives are so very interesting to them, not that our social media posts made from the action-cams don't already provide that anyway! LOL!
