I had a drifting issue with my Mavic Pro that I spent countless months trying to troubleshoot on my own. You name it, I did it to try and fix it. Eventually I sent it in for repairs through DJI's 3rd party repair network (closest was in Mississauga) and it turns out the IMU needed replacing. Got...
I don't know how I can disagree more with the notion that 'registration is never a good idea'. The very fact you have to register to fly legally is precisely intended to avoid not being to identify who caused bodily harm as a result of careless drone use.
Believe me, I'm not a fan of the new rules and regs (other than the fact they don't differentiate between hobby and commercial anymore) and would love nothing more than to fly with nothing more than common sense, but I'm a realist. It's a necessary evil.
Agreed that more enforcement is necessary...beyond the casual observer that thinks all drones are illegal and immediately call the cops when they see one.
And yes, I saw that video too and that tool needs to have his drone and his driver's license taken away. (In my opinion permanently...the...
I passed my basic exam last weekend. I'll echo the sentiment that there are some questions included in the question pool that need to be re-evaluated, as they ask you situational questions that don't apply to the basic certification...so there's some work to be done for sure.
I for one am glad...
Another thing that most people haven't touched on in this thread is regarding chroma subsampling. If your output is 1080p, you can capture at 4k (or 2.7) and record that extra color information natively, so that when it comes time to render your edit, you will have all that extra information in...
As other said - any flat color profile like D-log, S-log, Cine-like and others will 'flatten' the image from a color perspective, which will give you more details in the shadows and allow you to color grade your footage to your liking in the edit.
I was in your position up until very recently, and any amount of calibration or resets would fix it, until I realized that I had switched my sticks to mode 3 instead of mode 2 (as it's closer to WASD in gaming terms). I thought it couldn't hurt to switch back and eliminate that as a possibility...
It's less tricky than you think. There's 3 airports to consider, 2 helipads and the parliament buildings. The rest of it you just accept the warning in the Go4 app and you're good to go (assuming you also follow the restrictions).
Hey there. Picked up a Mavic Pro about a month ago and have been pretty happy with it. Still learning the ropes.
Initially I had an issue with it drifting either right or left after going forward for about 20 meters, but I think I've since isolated the issue to being in Stick Mode 3 instead of...
Would you really risk buying a Mavic from a site you barely know? Wish.com is a fairly big site, but in no way would I spend more than $100 on any particular item there. Just too much risk.
