I don't actually need a drop system. I just need to carry the payload. I mention the drop system because it tells me the drone can lift the weight. Otherwise I have no idea

I'm in the US and have a part 107. I'm trying to choose a drone that can carry an additional ~500g. I'm thinking I would attach with a string and it would hang under the drone though I did find a payload kit for a mavic pro but its third party. Unless I move up to the really expensive...
