Since you don't need the money, why is the lack of Care Refresh an issue? Just keep using it as you had intended to, if you had been able to get Care Refresh on it, and self-insure instead. Apply the saved Care Refresh cost to any needed repairs...
I bought DaVinci Resolve Studio when it was version 14, it is now version 19. So I have upgraded from 14, to 15, all the way to 19 at No Additional Cost. The tutorials on Youtube are excellent, and there is a free Beginners Guide for v19 also...
Get the free version of DaVinci Resolve, but also do yourself a favour and buy the Speed Editor which goes with that editing suite. there are excellent training videos right on the DaVinci Resolve website, or Black Magic, on how to use the speed...
Davinci Resolve is pretty powerful and perhaps the best editor for color grading, if working with D-Log is your primary intention. The free version has a lot of pro level features.
