I carry 5 batteries. It seems to be the right number. My RC is usually at 35-45% and iPad at 40-50% by the time I reach my 5th battery (20-22min flights).

Op.. Need more specifics as to what device you are using, in example iPhone, iPad wifi, iPad with cellular, etc.
Rth to your location and Follow Me will only work if your device attached to your controller has gps..
