I'm sure the O/P is savvy enough to work out a compromise once what's causing the problem is pointed out. If Jojonono wants my thoughts on a workaround for a common problem - I'm sure it will be asked for.

Pan the camera up: and the auto exposure alters...

I haven't heard of Photo Ninja, but it sounds like an interesting approach. It looks like both programs are about the same price $120. I only mentioned the trial because I'd feel bad if someone paid for a license and didn't like the program... -
