I wouldnt fly without one and I wouldnt glue it either ( the chems in whatever glue you use might not be good for the gimbal.

Need repairs?.Maybe it would be a good idea to replace it completely - it's only held on with a couple of screws and the relevant parts aren't hard to source... in fact: the specific part will cost you the dollar equivalent to £3.71 on eBay
