IMU ACC0 error and recalibration not helping

Hi all, a quick question for my Mavic Pro Platinum. Last few powerups have seen IMU error with ACC0 level of about 0.072 after several figure-8 recalibrations. No flight issues. No hard crashes, but recently had one landing (fighting with autoland that wouln't desist) where it lurched sideways...

Recommendations for aviation band receiver/scanner to monitor local traffic

Hi all, Looking for recommendations for a receiver-only handset to monitor local aircraft traffic. My flight locations are fixed and I do not see ever needing transmit capability (nor am interested in licensing). We are quite close to a towered airport, so long range is not particularly needed...

New MPP: Video tilt when moving L or R

I have since found that I was inadvertently hitting one of the two bottom buttons (I think it's the right one) on the RC that toggles the drone mode. Pressing it again turns off the tilt mode just fine.

Remote controller - better ergonomics with tablet mounted

Many flights later, I continue to be happy with this setup. Right-angle USB cables did clean up the cabling a bit too.

    Mavic pro stick error

here's a new one - on a test power-up I started getting the same error, and after a few restarts I realized it was due to my new USB cable, the kind that has a magnetic break-away detachment capability (recommended to protect the weak controller USB port). Removing the magnetic head for a second...

Remote controller - better ergonomics with tablet mounted

It was from Drone Pit Stop on Amazon and has been quite sturdy despite being light. It snap clips on the RC - you develop a feel for getting it on and off. Holds my tablet well if you squeeze the sliding part down snugly. I attached a paracord lanyard loop to it that I clip my neck strap onto.

Remote controller - better ergonomics with tablet mounted

I hope it works for you. I wonder if different power banks would yield different responses. Mine worked all 6 flights and my kitchen test run (the RC/tablet, not the Mavic!) the night before.

Remote controller - better ergonomics with tablet mounted

Thanks. I tried other settings for the connection but it reverts each time the screen sleeps and needs to be woken up (!). The Lenovo seems more opaque for dealing with settings like that compared to my old Samsung Galaxy.

Remote controller - better ergonomics with tablet mounted

USB cable plugged into bottom RC port is connected to tablet. Note that this works best with good cables. I have tried others that didn't connect well. The power bank is connected to RC's side miniUSB port.

Remote controller - better ergonomics with tablet mounted

Wanted to share how my remote controller ergonomics were improved with a piece of plastic. I prefer the improved visibility of larger tablet (in my case the Lenovo Tab4 8 works will and is quite bright). I also prefer mounting it so that I can still see my sticks and RC readout (sold by Drone...

New MPP: Video tilt when moving L or R

In about 10 subsequent flights, without adjusting any settings, the tilt went away in all except for one flight.

Lenovo Tab 4 8 keeps trying to downgrade controller connection to charge

I just tried a 5000 mAh (Tzumi 6583 from Best Buy) and it worked great! After a long, cold (45 oF) day with repeated flights (6 x 20 minutes), the Tzumi kept the RC at 100%, the Lenovo Tab4 8 tablet was 76%, and the Tzumi still had 25% charge left. Connected to the small USB port on the RC with...

Lenovo Tab 4 8 keeps trying to downgrade controller connection to charge

I did that on the inital setup for Go 4, but maybe I should run through it again
