It helps only with the visibility of the screen but you would still need to hold the controller in an awkward position - perpendicular to the ground so that the antennas are facing the sky.

When the drone is directly overhead you might need to hold the controller in very uncomforable position to get the flat parts of the antennas to face the drone as per the instructions🫤
