So is visual line of sight (VLOS) the range that the human eye can see or the length at which you could technically "see" the drone if you had binoculars or something?

Also you can download a modded DJI fly app to switch the drone from CE (0.1W transmission) to FCC (0.4W transmission), therefore increasing the signal strength fourfold. This is what I have done with my m1p and the strength and 'video smoothness' have increased by far.

With the MP1 you can change the setting and easily disable NFZ, increase speed above what is allowed (up to 59moh I believe) and use range hacks. With the M2 series you cannot do any of that.

You definitely need to return it and get a new one.... The errors on there are pretty bad. You must have got a bad batch
