Because apparently I'm an idiot and can't remember to take my gimble cover off.... I found a solution.

I don’t know. I surveyed for over 20 years and that’s way more professional than a lot of stuff I’ve seen (cough and done) with survey flagging.

Would you support a lawsuit over Remote ID?

I replied with a lot of intelligent stuff, then I erased it because I don’t feel like participating in a think tank today.

Would you support a lawsuit over Remote ID?

Very true and thank you for that information. It was very helpful.

Would you support a lawsuit over Remote ID?

Technically speaking, geofencing helicopters and other manned craft could place a “flight controlled force field” situation around helicopters. We’re living in 2021. Not 1979.

Would you support a lawsuit over Remote ID?

I’m with you on this one to a great degree. Remote ID broadcast should be available to other licensed broadcasters and FAA only. Or the FAA only. I don’t need or want some crackhead getting a hair brained scheme to track me, my drone or any ground equipment I use. Even local police officers...

    Hello from Northwest Arkansas

Hello from Deep East Texas! Welcome to the forum! You have some beautiful scenery from the ground as well as the sky. My family and I left NWA a 1/2019 you’re going to love that MP2! Feel free to ask questions if you get stuck with the geofencing in your area! Just FYI there’s some geofencing...

FAA Release NEW rules for UAS Operations

That’s not necessarily true. WiFi signals are very capable. Trimble gps uses WiFi signal a mile on average. With a radio transmitter, I’ve had WiFi signal greater than a mile. Home WiFi was created for limited service. It’s definitely not a benchmark for capability.

FAA Release NEW rules for UAS Operations

Seems like an easy firmware upgrade to me. Dji already has limiting the drone mastered with geofencing. Same principle would apply if they modified the geofencing disable with their version of the transponder system through a frequency translator and transmitted their translated frequencies to...

    Mapping with Zoom 2

Smart controller is overrated in my humble opinion. I use my iphone and bring a laptop since everything is autonomous. Drawing the flight plan parameters on google earth and importing a .kml file makes everything so easy. If you have to make corridor photos, you can plan everything on the maps...

    Mapping with Zoom 2

I don’t use drone deploy. I created a trial account also and didn’t like that I may have to pay as much as it costs. So I opted out, offloaded the app and haven’t looked at the app or the account since. Try starting with maps made easy lite. It may have enough in the free version for you to get...

    commercial license

Yes. It’s highly recommended for several reasons. If your video goes viral, you may be compensated and at that point, you will have to be licensed to cover the requirements of the FAA. Second, if you unknowingly break a rule, the FAA has your own self incriminating evidence on file online and...

Signing up for IACRA? >> Agree to the TOS! (or else) or maybe not...

It doesn’t matter. If you’re doing anything illegal, it’s the same penalty either way. The NSA was already on top of it before you even got to a government website. If you’re not doing anything illegal, you remain free and happy. This just supports the fact that you aren’t supposed to fly and...
