    Mini 3 March Haigh

I took off from two different locations to obtain this footage over a place called March Haigh. The hill you can see is called March Hill and the reservoir is called, you guessed it, March Haigh Reservoir. The location of March Haigh is on the West Yorkshire side of the Pennines in England...

    Mini 3 Standedge Cutting

Standedge Cutting in West Yorkshire on Wednesday

    Mini 3 Redbrook Reservoir

I thought as much. The flight was yesterday. I saw something about it on the news the other day.

    Mini 3 Redbrook Reservoir

A flight above and around Redbrook Reservoir on Marsden Moor in West Yorkshire, England. Although a very hot and sunny day there was a 'haze' in the air probably due to pollution.

    Mini 3 Oxygrains Bridge

At the Western end of Boothwood Reservoir there is a historical pack horse bridge which was on the wool trade route from points in Yorkshire to the woolen mills around Manchester in England. This video, then, is from a flight over and around it.

    Mini 3 Boothwood Reservoir

First time out with my Mini 3 Pro since late June since the weather where I live hasn't been that good since then. A flight, then, over and around Boothwood Reservoir, but the main thing was to get it in the air again after several weeks grounded.

Interference between radio controller and drone

You get far more interference from nearby wi-fi than from cell towers I find.

    Nickname of your Drone?

My Mini 3 Pro I call 'Oh ****'. The number of times I've shouted 'Oh ****' when flying it just seemed sorta appropriate to call it that. My Typhoon H480 doesn't have a name. I just refer to it as the flying thing.

How good are you at watching YouTube uploads of our flights? Dare you be honest?

For me, the length of the video is key. Particularly in drone video's I've noticed that the footage just gets repetitive once much past the 3 minute mark (and often before), so I actively avoid watching a drone video if I see the length to be much above 3 minuets and for the exact same reason I...

How long can you fly mini 3?

I usually change locations between flights to avoid repetition so I rarely run two batteries back-to-back so the issue about overheating the drone is minimal. I also tend to look to be at least in the process of landing by 30% and never go below 20%

    Mini 3 Burnedge

Thanks. But not my best video. The focus in the first part of the video. in my opinion, let it down.

    Mini 3 Burnedge

The trouble with Werneth Low is that I can't walk very far these days. A couple of years ago I could have found it doable but after a stroke my mobility has declined and, as you say, convenient safe car parking looks to be iffy. Indeed, this was one of the main reasons I got the Mini 3 Pro: My...

    Mini 3 Burnedge

Between Burnedge and Milnrow in Gtr. Manchester actually but Burnedge as a title will do for me. Take off location in on the edge of Stanney Brook park. This video is on the smaller side of my norm: I usually aim for nearer to 3 minutes but there was a degree of repetition in the source video...

    Mini 3 Piethorne Valley

Actually it's not a very big employer in the big scheme of things but the biggest for a mile or so around. It's unusual(ish) to find a business like this located so near a dam here too but certainly not unheard of. In this case further down the valley, less than a mile away, is a small township...

    Mini 3 Piethorne Valley

Glad you liked it. It was a last minute decision to go out yesterday due to a change in my plans for the day and I wasn't really in the mood for it to be honest, But the weather outlook for flying drones in my neck of the woods meant that if I didn't take this opportunity to fly I wouldn't be...
