He told me he just got done building the motor and I think he was just taking it up for the first time in a while and was just having fun. He's been flying for 40 years or something crazy like that so I'm good with it. I just want to fly my drone. Lol

He said he was getting ready to land but it didn't make much sense. My house doesn't line up with the runway. I'm just glad I get to keep flying my drone. Technically I need his permission to fly my drone since I'm so close to his airport. Turns out I'm only a mile away.

He also wants me to bring the drone over this weekend so he can play with it.

I went to the airfield and talked to the guy and everything is cool. He said he would stay at 500 feet or above when in the area and I agreed to stay below 400 feet so It all worked out. Thanks for all of your input guys.

I agree. I hate apple phones, but I went out and got a ipad mini 4 just for my Mavic

This was my thought process also. I think we could work something out.

I thought the same thing but he flew around for about another hour in the distance. he was way higher than 400 feet for the rest of his flight though

I am planning on taking a trip down there to see if we can work something out. Yes this is the first time I've ever even seen a single engine plane around here anywhere. And yes he was barely above the trees in my yard.
