Appreciate you checking :) Would you say it’s completely quiet on startup other then the usual clunks? Maybe I am due for exchange afterall.
I did prompt DJI but they said the grinding noise is normal. Though I could still easily exchange with my retailer.
Oops, I should of mentioned that you need to turn your volume to 100% and listen between the usual gimbal clunks. This maybe perfectly normal for the Osmo Pocket. But my Mavic Air doesn’t have any grinding.
Hi Guys,
Does your Osmo Pocket make this grinding noise between the clicks upon startup? I will swap mine out if it’s not normal.

Really appreciate the help :)

I did almost an identical test to you this morning. Even with similar results on the 2.4ghz band. My area was heavily congested area with lots of interference warnings.
Auto Channel (2.4ghz) Range : 2600ft
Manual Channel 5.8ghz Range : 6725ft
I took off from a location with minimal...
I noticed that the Mavic Air doesn't appear to be capable of changing channels/ bands while its in air to suit the conditions. I'm guessing thats why some of us are getting bad reception. I hope they release a firmware update to fix this.
At its best I've been able to fly 4750ft and at its...
For my own personal use of my Mavic Pro I almost never look at the controllers screen. It’s easier and more visually appealing just to look at my phone screen. That said, I’ve flown home before just using the controllers screen during loss of video/ app crashes. Though these are rare for me.
I wrote this comparison to help me decide if I should buy a Mavic Air as an owner of a Mavic Pro. Hopefully this will also be useful to those in the same situation as me.
Battery Life
The Mavic Pro is the winner with 27 minutes flight time or 30 minutes of the Platnium version. The Mavic Air...
Order the Platinum unless one or more of the below is important to you:
1) You want a Mavic Pro now
2) The additional $100 is very important to you
3) You want to run .400 firmware
If these three items are not important to you, then hold out to the platinum. You don't want to regret if buying...
Perhaps they need to replace the stick? Can your dealer swap out the RC. I had an intermittent issue with my Mavic and my dealer swapped out the whole kit.... that said he did say it was an absolute nightmare when he had to return it to DJI.
I started with a 10k drone my work paid for. When you have something that expensive in the air you always calibrated it before you took off and you were dam careful where you'd fly. You'd never even consider flying between trees or under a bridge. You flew with a neverous caution. I suspect...
Yeah right guys, that would make too much sense... you need to think like DJI developers.
"How about we make the buzzer louder AND run longer. How about for 10 minutes after it lands....?"
Okay so your flying discreetly, because that's why you bought a Mavic not an Inspire or a real helicopter. Then the low battery warning goes off *beep* *beep* *beep*. Your cover has been blown and everyone wants to watch you land your shiny new Mavic. Some of those people are already on the...
