The video linked in the first post gives me an option to watch in 4K, as well as 1440, 1080, etc., from my 1080p monitor.

Sorry, just proved myself wrong. Was able to select a 4K video from my 1080p monitor. I can confirm that it does take a fair while longer for Youtube to prepare a 4K video, though, with the lower resolutions being available sooner.

Do you have a 4K monitor to watch it on? I thought Youtube would only allow resolutions up to the maximum of your monitor. I can watch videos on my 1080p monitor in Youtube, where 4K isn't an option, but when I move to the HTPC on my 4K TV, the 4K options are available in Youtube.

No, that's a terrible analogy. Comparing the damage a sub-2-kg drone could do if crashing with the loss of life to both pilots/passengers/bystanders, as well as damage/pollution to the environment and risk of fire from the crash of a helicopter is a terrible analogy...
