I'm surprised to read this. How do you know it is disabled in tripod and waypoint modes?

To expand on this, I bought the EXSPORT 4 piece quick release guards from Amazon. They have no flex or give at all, which will result in much greater forces on the folding arms if it impacts the ground. Also, since it seems that indoor crashes are less likely to occur in the forward direction...

Prop guards are a good suggestion, but the guards I just bought seem to be way too Rigid and heavy. I think they will help reduce damage that the MP causes to other things, but are likely to increase damage to the MP if it crashes.

Sure. You explained the question fine in the first post. What I've observed from Litchi is that the target speed for the mission seems to be more of a max air speed limit than a "speed between points". I say this because I've actually had the MP fly backwards at times when the breeze exceeded...

Sounds like something for you to test, and report back! My guess is that it will fly way slower than you want, either way. The speed between waypoints seems to always be less than target speed, even without vertical components.

"Big Bang!" Deployments are risky, in case the new version has some big new flaw. They probably won't release to iOS users until they feel confident about it. I would guess that iOS is their biggest user group.

Glad you guys got on board! :) I actually think DJI made some a ton of really great design choices, even though the final result isn't "ideal". If DJI had wanted to achieve an ideal / efficient hover, they could have simply reduced the opposing pitch of the props, and allowed the front rotors...
