My concern wasn't whether it can work, because I fixed it too. My problem was it cutting out mid-flight, and I wasn't hovering in a safe place to allow me to disconnect and fix things.

It was set on auto, and when I restarted the app (without shutting down the Mavic) it came back.

I don't have an issue with my replacement Mavic. The first one went back.

Just got the Mavic Pro to try the filters, only to realize the gimbal initiation problem. I am really shocked to read that it was part of the design. I am going to return mine too.
