I'm in between being shocked and not-shocked that the U.S. government has for all intents and purposes banned DJI, I hope that things change, but given that drones are now seeing widespread usage on battlefields, and more restrictions likely...
1) They do not and are not interested in selling to consumers...frankly I dont think they feel consumers should own drones for recreational flying
2) They are part of the problem as their lobbyists are in part responsible for the issues facing...
I'm not even sure the U.S. has the ability to easily manufacture products like this on a large scale, assembly line type basis these days.

I can understand the lobbyists and politicians running with the narrative of it being a " reckless civilian drone operator ", it fits with their agenda of getting DJI out of the U.S. and imposing further restrictions on recreational flying.
