Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

I already said in the O.P. they appeared to be at 300'-400', " low enough that if I were flying a drone I'd have been concerned " is how I put it and thats an easy guess to make since I know what a similar size aircraft looks like flying low and above tree top level here. In any case, I'm not...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

I've never encountered a police officer that has claimed to have these supernatural abilities, and I'd like to think that any police officer with any shred of intelligence would not cite someone for speeding without having proof. Honestly I am not sure why my post has triggered people here in a...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

Thats helpful...I was wondering if it was a PFL or some other type of training exercise. It's a rare occurrence that I see these planes flying that low, like I said once a month or so but it being some type of training exercise is basically what I was wondering.

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

Are you drunk or just trolling/purposely misinterpreting my post ? Where on earth did I ever say I was ok with him doing this ? It happened, I can't control his actions, and fortunately he no longer flies but I was present when it happened so now have a valid reference point for what a single...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

As stated in O.P., there are no airports ( or private airfields, landing strips, etc..etc..) within 10 miles of me. That was the first thing I double checked before posting.

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

I think thats pretty much where I'm at on this. If I had been flying at that moment I'd be concerned but I'd just bring my drone down to a lower altitude.. As for the " who cares " part, it's not so much that I care, it was more of a question regarding regulations that I was asking. As for...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

wow....no further comment since I am an adult, and I also do not want to risk getting banned from this site, but thankfully there is an ignore button. When I've already mentioned more than once that I have reference for what a low altitude flight looks like over my house ( again, my brother...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

What part of " My brother buzzed our house more than once near tree top level " did you not understand ?. That and knowing the height of local structures gives me a pretty darn good idea of how high these planes are flying. I also told you there are other structures nearby that I use as...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

I was waiting for this response... I know the height of the structures that are around me ( such as the cellular tower that is nearby, as well as other structures such as the near by church steeple) and use those as a guide, and I know what a small plane that is flying below 500' near my...

Small Planes Flying Below 500 feet AGL

I'm pretty sure that my understanding that small, single engine planes are not permitted to fly below 500' AGL ( aside from take offs and landings ) is correct, yet once a month or so I see these types of aircraft flying in my area and over house and they are obviously below 500'. To my eye it...

    No DJI drones anywhere???

I'm in between being shocked and not-shocked that the U.S. government has for all intents and purposes banned DJI, I hope that things change, but given that drones are now seeing widespread usage on battlefields, and more restrictions likely coming for using the 0-400 foot air corridor I guess...

US will unleash 'drone dominance' by fast-tracking production

    1) They do not and are not interested in selling to consumers...frankly I dont think they feel consumers should own drones for recreational flying 2) They are part of the problem as their lobbyists are in part responsible for the issues facing DJI here in the states 3) 100 people. that is a...

US will unleash 'drone dominance' by fast-tracking production

I'm not even sure the U.S. has the ability to easily manufacture products like this on a large scale, assembly line type basis these days. I think the only things that are manufactured like that here these days are some automobiles, firearms, and some musical equipment/instrument...

Should Drones Spy on American Citizens?

.gov has always spied on citizens, since the days of the revolutionary war. McCarthy era anyone ?

The Truth about the Texas Flood drone crash

I can understand the lobbyists and politicians running with the narrative of it being a " reckless civilian drone operator ", it fits with their agenda of getting DJI out of the U.S. and imposing further restrictions on recreational flying. I don't quite get the silence of on the part of Texas...
