I find that the trunk of my car is very cool in the Texas heat. Even more if I just have objects in a bag. In our suv the same. In addition my pelican case is impervious to the heat.
I think the glass is what transfers the most heat into the car.

I am going to be staying near a nuclear power plant this weekend. I was looking to see if it was a restricted area. The B4U fly app says no. DJI Go4 app says yes. Assuming DJI is right, how accurate is the restricted red circle area?

Mine works like this.
If I am in video mode and push the camera button once it switches to camera mode. It takes a few seconds then i can push it again to take a picture.
Same thing happens if I’m in picture mode and try to take a video.

I flew three batteries yesterday and was at 87% when done. Started with a full charge on all of them.
I would agree that it is trying to charge your phone when it gets below 40%.
